Find Your Hat Size
Do you offer custom sizing?
Yes, we do offer custom sizing for customers who do not fit within our standard size range. Please contact our customer service team for more information.
How do I measure my hat size?
Use a soft measuring tape or a piece of string and a ruler. Wrap the tape or string around your head, about 1/8 inch above your ear, across the mid-forehead, completely circling your head. Hold the tape firmly, but not too tight.
I have thick hair. Should I order a larger size to accommodate it?
If you have thick or voluminous hair, you may want to consider ordering a slightly larger size. However, each individual is different, so it's best to take a measurement with your typical hairstyle to be sure.
I have a hat that fits me perfectly. Can I use that for sizing?
Unfortunately, it's not accurate to use the size of another hat for sizing without a special instrument called a measuring ring. The most reliable way to find your size is to measure your head's circumference using a flexible measuring tape. If you're still unsure about your size, don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service team for help.
What if I'm in between sizes? Should I size up or down?
If your measurements fall in between two sizes, we generally recommend going for the larger size. A slightly larger hat will be more comfortable and can be adjusted for a better fit.
What if the hat I purchased doesn't fit perfectly?
Don't worry! We offer a satisfaction guarantee and are committed to helping you find the perfect fit. Contact our customer service for assistance.
How often should I measure my head? Does my hat size change?
Generally, adult head sizes do not change. However, changes in weight, hairstyles, and age can result in minor changes. If you haven't measured your head in a while, it might be a good idea to do so before ordering your next hat.
I have a very large/small head. Can I still order a custom hat?
Absolutely! We pride ourselves on offering a wide range of sizes. Please contact our customer service for more information on ordering a hat outside of our standard sizes.
Can I adjust the size of my hat if it's too big?
Yes, you can! There are several methods for making a hat smaller if it's too big. These include using hat sizers or inserts, or adding a bit of foam under the sweatband.
How do I care for my hat to maintain its size and shape?
Always handle your hat by the brim, not the crown, to maintain its shape.
Keep it stored in a cool, dry place, preferably in a hat box that supports both the brim and crown. Avoid exposing your hat to heat from stoves, radiators, lamps, and car windows, as these can cause a hat to shrink.
I’m buying a hat as a gift, but I don’t know the recipient's hat size. What should I do?
If you're unsure about the size, consider our gift cards. This way, the recipient can measure their own size and select their preferred style.
Can I exchange my hat if it doesn't fit?
Yes, you can! Please refer to our return policy for specific details. We are committed to ensuring you get a hat that fits perfectly and meets your style requirements.
Are the sizes the same for men and women?

Where are your products made?
Our creative studio is situated in the vibrant port city of Piraeus, Greece, adjacent to Nikea's City Hall. It serves as our hub for all artistic endeavors.
If you plan to visit us, you can conveniently reach our location via Line 3 of the Athens Metro. The line operates from Dimotiko Theatro to Athens Airport, passing through Syntagma.

Monogramming
Monogramming is available for all our hats finished with a leather sweatband inside. This service allows you to stamp up to eight block letters in gold foil.
Custom Liners
This service allows you to add a unique touch to your hat by creating a custom message printed inside your hat.

How can I place an order?

Shipping Questions
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, we do offer international shipping to most locations around the globe.
How can I track my order status?
Once your item(s) have shipped you will receive a confirmation email where you will find a link to track your order. In order to check the status of your shipment just click on the link.

No failed delivery attempts or misplaced deliveries.
Is a signature required upon delivery of my order?
For security reasons, an adult signature is required upon delivery. If you will be unavailable to sign for your package, contact us and we will arrange to have your order held at a nearby DHL location for pickup.
DHL will make a total of three delivery attempts on three consecutive business days. After the third attempt, your order will be returned to our studio.
How long will it take if I order a hat from you today?
We usually require a 3-5 weeks to prepare your hat.
As soon as we send your order, you will immediately receive a shipping notification email with your shipment's reference/tracking number as well free SMS updates throughout the delivery process.

- Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania: 3-7 business days
- Asia Pacific: 3-7 business days
- Latin America and the Caribbean: 5-20 business days

On occasions, the processing of your order and subsequent delivery might be subject to factors beyond our control, such as felt availability, natural disasters, or a pandemic. In those cases, delivery might take a bit longer.

HNC-HATWORKS cannot be held responsible for any unanticipated delivery delays beyond our control. Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply.
Are there any delivery restrictions?
The following delivery restrictions apply:
- Purchases may not be shipped to P.O. boxes, APO/FPO addresses, hotels, or freight forwarders.
- Items can only be shipped to one address per order. To ship to multiple addresses, please place a separate order for each location.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?
We allow returns, exchanges or store credit up to 30 calendar days after delivery, provided you call +30 (211) 001 - 1910 or email customer.service@hnc-hatworks.com for a return authorization before shipping the hat back. You are responsible for the cost of shipping your hat and returning it in as-new, unworn condition.
Custom orders and hats that have been monogrammed or otherwise personalized are non-refundable. Hats that are returned in less than the condition they left our studio are eligible for exchange or store credit only; however, a deduction may be made if the returned hat requires cleaning or repair.
Returned hats must meet the below requirements in order to be accepted for a refund:
- All items must be in original condition with original tags attached. Items that have been worn, used, altered or damaged will not be accepted.
- Personalized hats are final sale and cannot be returned.
- All items must match those identified in return request.
Can I exchange or return an item gifted to me by someone else?
Gift items may be returned in accordance with our Return Policy. However, refunds may only be issued to the same account used for the original payment.
Gift recipients will have the option of choosing a different size or color variation of the item gifted or a new item with the same value, if available on our website.
Once the gift recipient has confirmed the selection, the order will be finalized and no exchanges can be made. Please refer to our Return Policy for more information and return instructions.
Do you offer a warranty on your products?
We do offer a money-back guaranttee for items that do not meet your expectations.
Please keep in mind that each hat we produce is custom-made by hand. We will make every effort to create your hat precisely as you imagined it and to standards and proportions appreciated by our clients over the years. If your hat is different from what you requested, please notify us within 24 hours of receiving it, and we will correct our error at no charge.
Sizes, brims, and crowns should be within the requested measurement's one-eighth inch, plus or minus.
